As in the 2009 edition, the event will take place on trails of the “Alta Via” (High Road) of the Morainic Amplitheater near Ivrea.  The Rally format of the competition will be  alternated with timed portions of the course to be completed within a time limit.  A non-competitive start and finish is planned in which the group of athletes will be escorted by the organizers in a sort of parade through the streets of Ivrea.

The participants will be accompanied from the quiet town of Ivrea to the bottom of the slopes of the great Baltea Moraine.  From there it will be “all-out war” as the competitors climb the mountain, alternating between special timed trials and non-timed transfer routes, cresting the moraine over rutted, unpaved roads and through erratic boulders for a total of 75 km, of which approximately 40 km will be timed trials.

The event will be a day to discover the beauty of the area; a day in which the surrounding nature will be as important as the competition route, itself designed to have no impact on the environment.

The towns involved in the Teva Morainic  Rally will be:  Ivrea, Albiano, Azeglio, Settimo Rottaro, Alice Castello, Roppolo, Viverone, Zimone, Magnano, Piverone, Bollengo, Chiaverano e Andrate.
