Video Evening – Friday 11 June 9 p.m.

Experience the exciting world of outdoor sports by spending an evening together watching spectacular videos of kayaking, trail running, mtb, bouldering and parasailing.    The evening will take place at the Whitewater Stadium of the Ivrea Kayaking Club.

BIKETRIAL EXHIBITION WITH ALESSANDRO DELFINO - Friday 11 June 6 p.m.

Alessandro Delfino is a young athlete from the Aosta Valley;  born in 1986, he is the second ranked biketrial champion in Italy.   Biketrial is an acrobatic discipline, where cyclists using distinctive bicycles made of lightweight but resistant materials, perform spectacular jumps and navigate over and through the obstacles on the course (the “section”), without touching the ground with anything except the bike’s tires.

Biketrial “sections” can be Natural or Indoor.  The first type is characterized by natural obstacles (ex: rocks, trunks, roots, etc.) and are generally in natural sites like river beds or mountain woods.  The later type are man-made courses that are set up for sporting events and often use construction materials as obstacles (ex: cement holes, wood beams, etc.)

Balance is fundamental, as is explosive muscular strength and the eye of the athlete who has to know how to react in every circumstance, using specific techniques that will allow him to finish the “section” with no penalties.

Alessandro and some of his most promising students will be exhibiting their biketrial skills. 

NORDIC WALKING - Saturday 12 June and Sunday 13 June

Nordic Walking is easy to learn discipline that can be practiced by anyone of any age.  It is a low-impact activity that firms muscles without stressing bone joints, and helps reinforce the correct posture of our body.

Thanks to the collaboration of ASD Nordic Walking of Andrate, this discipline has been added to the 2010 edition of TEOG;  the Saturday 12 June and Sunday 13 June events are open to anyone who wants to try this new discipline.

Program:

Guided excursion of the 5 Morenic Lakes (Campagna, San Michele, Sirio, Pistono, Nero).  Meeting point:  Parking lot at Campagna Lake in Cascinette.

Guided excursion of Ivrea.  Meeting point: Whitewater Stadium of the Ivrea Kayaking Club.

Technical Lessons: basic, technical 1, technical 2:  at the Whitewater Stadium of the Ivrea Kayaking Club.

2 km Nordic Walking Test.    Timed course with evaluation of the participant’s form as well as cardiac monitoring with a cardiac frequency meter.     Each participant will receive a personal evaluation that includes a Fitness index.

TEVA PARTY – Saturday 12 June 11.00 p.m.
